Job seekers
You do not need an account. If you sign up for job alerts we keep your email and your alert settings. Every alert email has a link to change the alert, unsubscribe, or delete your data.
If you sign in, we keep your email, the jobs you save, and the jobs you tap Apply on while signed in (the job and the date, nothing else). You can remove any of them, or delete your account, on My jobs.
Signing in gives you one sign-in cookie. It lasts 30 days. If you tap Save without signing in, your browser keeps the list on your device. We never see it.
When you click Apply we count the click for that job. We do not store your IP address or who you are with that count.
To show jobs near you, we look at the state your internet connection comes from. We do not save it.
If you pick Light mode or Dark mode at the bottom of a page, your browser remembers it on your device. We never see it.
We use an analytics service to count visits and see which pages help. It sets cookies on your device. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
We do not use ad cookies. We do not send your email or the words you search for to the analytics service. We do not sell your data.
If you use the Advertise form, we keep what you send so we can answer you.
Alerts you never confirm are deleted.
Employers
We keep your work email, name and company so you can manage your jobs. You can delete your account from your dashboard.
Sign-in links stop working after 20 minutes. Employers who sign in get one sign-in cookie. It lasts 14 days. We use no ad cookies.
If you report a job, we keep the reason and your note for 180 days.
If you try to claim a company page, we keep the email you typed, the company, and what happened. That includes tries we turned down. We keep it for 180 days. If you delete your data, we delete this record too.
If you come from your TechnologyAdvisor.com dashboard, TechnologyAdvisor.com tells us your account email and firm, so you can skip the sign-in email.
Spam checks, hosting and email
To stop spam and abuse, we use a scrambled code made from your IP address. We never keep the real one.
Our forms use a bot check to make sure you are a person. Our hosting and security provider runs this site and that check. It also sends our emails.
We keep a record of each email we send you. It shows the kind of email, when we sent it, and whether it went out. We keep it for 90 days. We can see that we sent it. We cannot see your inbox. If you delete your data, we delete this record too.
